MG Hector launched in India
MG Hector SUV launched in India at ex-showroom price of Rs 12.18 lakh. Surprisingly the prices are lower than Tata’s good looking SUV Harrier, and Mahindra’s XUV500. Will MG (Morris Garages) Motors will be able to consolidate its position in India?
MG offers a 5-year comprehensive manufacturer warranty for free which is applicable for unlimited kilometers. You will also get RSA (road side assistance) for a period of five years at zero cost.

MG Motors has surprised with its price. Everyone expected that this feature-loaded car will cost much more. The new MG Hector will be up against
Hyundai Creta,
Mahindra XUV500,
Tata Harrier,
Jeep Compass and
Kia Seltos.
MG Hector has a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine that makes 143 PS and 250 Nm of peak torque. It is being offered with a 6-speed manual gearbox and has an option for a 6-speed DCT (Double Clutch Transmission).
The colour options for the customers are Starry Black, Coloured Glaze Red, Burgundy Red, Aurora Silver and Candy White. Providing a unique design to the premium SUV are features like front grille with surrounding chrome accent, split LED headlamps with LED DRLs and LED fog lamps. There are LED tail lamps and LED fog lamps at the rear. One will also get features like heated ORVM, shark fin antenna, floating light turn indicators and dual tone machined alloys.
As mentioned earlier MG Hector is very spacious inside. Sufficient leg rooms in both rows. Boot space is 587-litre boot. There is a 10.4-inch HD touchscreen AVN system, 7-inch coloured MID, 4-way power adjustable co-driver seat, powered tailgate opening, dual-pane panoramic sunroof and eight colours ambient lighting. There is the iSMART connectivity technology with over 50 features.
