Land Rover launched the 2.0-litre diesel engine option for the Discovery, making it more affordable with prices starting from Rs 75.18 lakh (ex-showroom). Land Rover India launched its all new Discovery back in 2017. The price of Diesel variant for Discovery ranges between ₹ 75.18 Lakhs - ₹ 1.09 Crores and the price of Petrol variant for Discovery ranges between ₹ 76.92 Lakhs - ₹ 89.36 Lakhs. It is available in 10 different variants, five each for petrol and diesel. These are S, SE, HSE, HSE Luxury and First Edition. All engines come mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and a four-wheel drive system. Not all variants of New Land Rover Discovery featured a Seven seat arrangement. It gets 5 seats as standard and with 7 seats configuration as an extra option.  Discovery is offered in 9 colours. The new Discovery comes loaded with creature comforts. From the outside it gets features like Electric sunroof, rain – sensing windscreen wipers, LED lamps with auto high beam assist and 10 spoke alloy wheels. In the cabin impressive feature list continues with a 14-speaker Meridian sound system, heads-up display, 8.0-inch rear seat entertainment, four-zone climate control and, heated seats and steering wheel. Discovery is competing against Jeep Grand Cherokee, Land Rover Range Rover Sport, Land Rover Range Rover Velar, Land Rover Discovery Sport, BMW X5 and BMW X7.
