Renault is a French multinational automobile manufacturer established in 1899. In 2016 Renault was the ninth biggest automaker in the world by production volume.
Renault entered India in 2008 was named as Renault India Pvt. Ltd. At the end of 2015, Renault has approximately 200 dealerships across India, from only 14 in 2012. Renault cars are manufactured at the manufacturing facility located in Oragadam, Chennai, with a capacity of 4,80,000 units per annum with 3 shifts per day. It introduced four models of renault to India the SUV Duster, the compact MPV Lodgy, budget car Kwid and the latest crossover Captur.
