The Volvo Group is a Swedish multinational manufacturing company headquartered in Gothenburg. Automobile manufacturer Volvo Cars, also based in Gothenburg, was part of AB Volvo until 1999, when it was sold to the Ford Motor Company. Since 2010 it has been owned by the Geely Holding Group, China's biggest multinational automotive manufacturing company.

Volvo was established in 1915 as a subsidiary of SKF, a ball bearing manufacturer. The brand name Volvo was originally registered as a trademark in May 1911. It offers 5 different models in India which are Volvo XC40, XC60, XC90, V90, S90.
