Hyundai have teased their all new micro SUV code-named AX1 ahead of its reveal in the international market. The teaser shows some glimpse of how the micro SUV will look like with all new headlamps and tail lamps.
Hyundai AX1 Micro SUV Design
The overall dimension of the prototype has an upright SUV type stance, tall-body design with bumper-mounted headlamps and big centre grille as seen on the Venue. On the side, is the straight roofline with C-pillar mounted door handles and alloy wheels. The rear does not give out any design details due to the large sheet covering but there is a bumper-mounted number plate slot with square-shaped rear defoggers. Also, there are no details available with respect to its interiors.
Hyundai AX1 Powertrain
The new Hyundai AX1 is expected to be come with a 1.1-litre engine producing 68bhp of max power and 96Nm of max torque. Transmission options are likely to include both manual and automatic. The micro-SUV will be based on the smaller K1 platform which also underpins the Grand i10, Santro in the company’s lineup.
Hyundai AX1 Launch Plans in India
The new micro SUV AX1 will have a World Premiere in the upcoming months and will go on sale in September in Korea. This car is likely to launch in India in the upcoming year and will rival Maruti Suzuki S Presso, Mahindra KUV 100 and the upcoming Tata HBX.
