Nissan Kicks has been in India since January 2019.This model has been recreated specifically for the Indian market for the rough driving road conditions. The Kicks has a 1.3L turbo petrol engine on offer which produces 156hp of max power and 245nm of torque mated to an Xtronic CVT gearbox. This next generation Nissan X-tronic CVT offers 40% less friction, contributing to a higher fuel economy and acceleration response.

The kicks misses out on certain features like no automatic headlamps or auto wiper, no leather seats or leather wrapped steering or leather wrapped seats and no paddle shifter. It does have automatic start stop which helps in saving fuel at stop lights. The key has remote start function which can be used to start the car and cool the car cabin remotely. The kicks have features like automatic climate control, cruise control, 360 degree reverse parking camera with 8 inch touch-screen infotainment display.

The Nissan Kicks is bigger than creta in terms of size with overall dimensions 4384mm long 1813mm wide 1669mm in height. It also has a decent boot space for long highway trips. The Nissan kicks suspensions are on a stiffer side but they absorb the uneven surfaces and potholes pretty well.
Nissan claims that the Kicks with the turbo petrol and a CVT will return 15.8kmpl overall, which is decent enough for a petrol SUV in this segment. The rubber band effect from the CVT gearbox is well managed the acceleration feels like that of an automatic torque converter. The Nissan Kicks rivals Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos which are 3 to 4 lakh expensive.
